This dumb chunk is Jäger. He is a cat that thinks he is a raccoon.
His favorite foods are candy, candy wrappers, and beef. He will cut a bitch for some raw ground beef or roast beef lunch meat. Once he ate an entire packge of ube-flavored wheat cakes. Once he ate 2/3 of a blueberry white chocolate truffle. Once he ate 1/4 stick of butter. Once he ate jalapeno string cheese. Once he ate like 4 jackfruit-flavored chewy candies, wrapper and all. Once he ate the plastic endcap to the string on the blinds.

Nothing I do makes this cat any smarter or better behaved but he's clingy and cute so we tolerate him.

My cat goes nuts over any type of cheese and pork rinds.

I once had a few bags of rinds in a plastic bag, hanging on my metal shelf. He managed to twist, stretch, and stand to eat a hole in the bottom of all the bags, so when he hit it, a rind would fall out.

He attempts to eat from the fridge when you open the door.

He also will sit with you while you eat at the table. He was 20 lbs, now hes 10lbs. And his appetite is in overdrive.

We're pretty strict about what we feed the dog but she does get a law bone, usually beef or lamb, once in a while. In Summer she gets them straight from the freezer, which she loves.
This Summer we also tried freezing a single piece of dry dogfood in a shotglassful of water and she seemed to enjoy that too. Good snacking and cooling with very few calories.

Rats make wonderful pets, but as other anons have said you need at least 2 so they can socialize, clean each other's ears etc. If you're conscious of smell, get females, because the males produce a greasy substance that makes them smell more rodenty. Males get big and cozy and are more relaxed, females are more active and curious.

Only get them if you can handle pet death, they live 2-3 years and get a variety of (usually lethal) health problems and I've found that many vets won't treat rats. For this reason it's worth buying a pair of rats from someone reputable like a breeder, because pet store rats are often kept in poor conditions that can aggravate whatever health issues they may be prone to.

Since she is an ancient mouse I regularly gorge her on her favorites: strawberry cheesecake from the grocery store, flour duros, Bimbo mantecada cupcakes, and the gravy from gravy lovers wet cat food cans. Previous mice got such things as cheese, McDonald’s bacon egg and cheese biscuits, scrambled and fried eggs, crunchy peanut butter, crackers, strawberries, blueberries, spinach, banana, banana chips, sunflower seeds, bits from my sandwiches, yogurt, blueberries, toast, macaroni and cheese, Cheerios, donuts, and cucumbers. Here’s Snowden when I let her have the rest of my donuts last week. Mice are much funnier to feed than my retarded cats or dog.

I used to have three of these and one kaytee cage like OPs with multiple females and three more kaytee dates with th3 three territorial males by themselves. Shit was expensive and time consuming to clean every week when they were all alive.

My cats like all sorts of cheese, grilled meats, all fish, fish sauce, cookies and pretty much all human food that is lightly spiced or very fatty. They of course get none of that save bonito flakes.
