Either strain can be anywhere on the body. If you already have hsv on your lips, you very well could have infected her with that strain. That's highly unlikely, though. It's obvious that you were both already infected. It doesn't really matter with which strain it is, they both do the same thing, that is, create blisters at the infection site.

Best I can give you is the number of men in prison compared to the number of women. Even if fewer women commit crimes, why are only 9.4 percent of incarcerated people women, when they make up half of the population?
