I had some alligator nuggets once which I assume were the off cuts. Tasted like lean pork with not much else to it. I heard the different parts taste like different animals, like fishy chicken the way frog legs taste, but I guess I didn't get that part.

Kinda cool to taste it I guess but I wouldn't bother again unless it was free. Pretty unremarkable, at least the shitty cheap parts I got. Maybe if you got some tail/leg meat or jowls you'd like it better.

I have had it at a big ass cookout. It was prepared in some kinda typical Cajun seasonings, meant to go with dirty rice or something similar. I was literally the last fucker to clean out the tray.
