1 cup can mean at least 3 different things depending on context and country. 1 cup is normally half a pint. Keep in mind that a pint in the UK is 20 fluid ounces, but only 16 in the US (not to mention that fluid ounces are slightly different in the US too). Most places you see "cup" in recipes are American, so you can assume 8 fl. oz. Generally speaking though, if someone is saying "cup" it doesn't need to be quite so precise, so I find using 1 coffee mug full is always good for a cup, or 1 pint glass for 2 cups. If you're really stuck, just type "0.25 cups in ml" into Google and it has a converter.

Honestly? I've tried a ton of recipes but my favorite will always be the great value dry mix from the store. It tastes like cracker barrel's pancakes.

Cup of AP flour
Tablespoon of baking powder
Cup of buttermilk
An egg
Pinch of table salt
A banana

Adjust flour or buttermilk to get right consistency.

Make sure your pan is warm before you put the batter on it. Put slices of banana on uncooked side of pancake

Top with butter and maple syrup
I also like peanut butter and honey

>Cup

What's a Cup? Is it different from a cup? How much is in a Tablespoon compared to a tablespoon? Is a Pinch is bigger than a pinch?

The sole reason why I can't make pancakes are these dumb measurements, I understand that you were taught all of this by your mom or something, but please use grams for those of us who haven't had the privilege. I open up by cupboard and there are about a dozen cup shaped objects, each capable of holding a different volume. The result is that my pancakes end up a raw gooey mess that will sooner end up charred than turn into something edible. Also when a recipe is asking for something melted in a cup I start to go insane.

A cup is a fucking cup man. That's why I specified that you add more flour or buttermilk to get the consistency you want. Basically when I make pancakes I don't measure anything perfectly because it's early in the morning and the recipe is so basic. Use a regular sized coffee mug or a high ball glass or a handful for all I care.
A tblsp is just a soup spoon

A pinch is literally a pinch. Just put your fingers in a bowl of salt and pinch. It's such a small amount there really is no other way to explain
