Never tried this, but it doesn't sound horrible. I bet it'd be great on a cold winter day.

Fond memories, anon.
Picture it. Weekend cottage on the lake; aka grandma's cottage. We arrive on friday even when grandman usually has fried chicken for everyone. We play we fish. Saturday morning we have bacon and egg breakfast, we need a 4 slice toaster just to feed everyone. But sunday, sunday was me and pops. See me and dad would be the ones to close the cottage when all the other people left. We'd make sure all the boats were landed and motors put away and all the windows shuttered, but dad didn't cook. We go to the "Bait shop" diner down the road. It was half convenience store that sold beemoths, crickets, worms, minnows, but the other half was a diner. Now pops worked hard; he worked at the local IBP (iowa beef packers) as a butcher guy. He cut up pigs. I knew pops couldn't splurge for the whole pizza so I stuck to the kids menu. The toasted cheese and french fries became my go to. I would order it every weekend in the summer. Pops would go for the standard burger and fries. Even asked me if I wanted a burger one time, but no. I stuck with my old favorite. The grilled cheese and fries. Every time I see a diner grilled cheese it takes me back to early Sunday evening and that diner at grandmas cottage.

I think I hated pork because of the other night with salsa instead of just grocery places?
