I ate fresh durian in Singapore and Thailand. Both times it barely smelled like anything, just a very faint egg/onion smell that I could only detect if I put it right by my face. Also tasted like less sweet custard with the faintest hint of onion. Is lack of smell the mark of a good durian or a bad durian?
