I live alone and eat alone. I'm working today because no one else wants to. It's a good day to be a driver, everyone is inside, the roads are mine alone.

Came to Canada for a girl, she dumped me. Spending Thanksgiving alone but the holiday doesn't mean anything to me so I guess I don't care

Correct me if I'm wrong but your thanksgiving is more of a harvest celebration rather than the native americans saving the starving wh*toids deal, right?

I'm doing bacon cheeseburgers same as I did last year, and all years before that...I fucking hate turkey...

Correct, but it’s still a contentious subject for indigenous Canadian populations and supporters. That’s being said, I’ve celebrated tg with native families in the past - which, at least in my view, is probably better than ripping on eachother and complaining on the ol social media.

Is it true that Thanksgiving is a huge deal in the US? As in people will travel to spend time with family and may get a lot of time off work? We have a turkey dinner and get a long weekend but I have never heard of anyone traveling great distances to spend Thanksgiving with family.

Americans are masochists and feel it's necessary to get together with family members they hate, get drunk and verbally snipe and spar until the women are in tears and the men come to blows.

Carve it like a chicken

Remove the whole breast, each side. Detach the legs and wings at their joints, then cut into 3-4oz pieces about half an inch thick

I hate Thanksgiving. The food is always good, but I hate large gatherings of people. Sometimes I wish I could be a normie who actually enjoys doing this sort of thing.
