The stigma of eating alone only exists on sites like this where NEETs play a constant game of trying to out-shame everybody else in an attempt to make themselves feel better. Do you have a nice place in mind and know what you want? Then do it, man. And if you wanted to go to the theater and watch a movie by yourself, do that too. There's no shame in spending time with yourself.

In my experience you get the same or better service. While you are just one person, (1) men eat more (2) single men tip more and (3) you will probably be in and out quicker. I was just at a sushi place where I got seated at the counter much quicker cause I was on my own. I chatted with the chef and the couple next to me a bit (not a lot, just near the end of the meal) and the chef bought us shots.

cringe. once a year i go to a fancy millionaire/billionaire tier steakhouse with my dad and there are always a few tables with just a rich old guy in a suit enjoying a meal and drink by himself. i don't think any normal person looks at that and sees a guy playing a 3DS
