Why are people so grossed out by eating insects when they eat sea-bugs all the time?

Sure? As long as it's cooked like a crustacean. I don't know why you keep posting giant isopods as if they're gonna gross anyone out OP, typically people who are fine eating crustaceans are fine with other marine based arthropods. As other people have pointed out though, isopods are distinctly NOT insects. I think the hangups most people have are with terrestrial arthropods, being from/in the water causes them to be perceived as more "clean" whether or not that's actually true. Also they grow to a size where the meat is actually worth extracting.
