What's your usual way to cook burgers?

You can make fun if you want, but this is how we do it at a nationally recognized burger dive here in Texas. If you are burning a half pound burger by 7 minutes then you need to turn down the heat. This isn't steak where the meat is high quality and dense where you mainly want to sear it. This is ground beef that you want cooked thoroughly at least to medium well in the middle. You get absolutely nothing out of blasting a burger with heat.
