Well, veganism is a form of leftist ideology, so it naturally shares some traits with the others.

One, they have no principles, except for a deeply engrained sense that might makes right. This means if they can force you to go along with them, by fair means or foul, then it proves them "right".

Two, they don't accept anything is objectively true, only what is imposed by the power structure. It's why feminists can declare genes (XX, XY) to be a construct of society. Also see the changing the definitions of words to further political means.

And three, they follow a strange brand of evolutionary thinking that believes all change tends towards progress. This leads to assuming that by pushing a change hard enough, their utopian imaginations will become true regardless of how unrealistic it is.

I'll leave it for an exercise of your own to figure out how these traits foster a zealous advocate who can't tolerate dissent. Plus the mental effects of malnourishment and associated maladies will do to the thought process.

Keep conflating, it may mask your desperation for a little longer. The left/right dichotomy falls apart easily. It's mostly used to scare moderates from factions that oppose leftism. Yes, some of the "alt-right" fall into some of the same ideological traps, but they show more principles and better ideas than any variety of the left.

Nazism and Stalinism are both forms of fascism. College "communists" that want the state to create "safe spaces" are also fascists. Communism is stateless. Politics and economics are inseperable and a line from left to right is inadequate for describing them.

Instead, picture a 3-dimensional grid. Along the x-axis you get the level of collectivism of the economy. x=0 is completely individual, x=100 is completely collectivist. The y-axis represents the level of government involvement, with y=0 being anarchy and y=100 being a totalitarian government. Finally, the z-axis shows the distribution of power, z=0 representing a autocracy and z=100 a direct democracy.

Fascism, including Nazism and every communist dictatorship, are collectivist totalitarian autocracies.

Most Western countries are variations on indirect democracies, with relatively high government involvement and an economy that falls somewhere in the middle of the spectrum of individuality and collectivism.

Now pure capitalism would have no government involvement in the economy and the economy would be purely individualistic. x=y=0, z would not matter in this system as government has no power. The power structure would be based on who could pay for PMCs. This system has the danger of exposing the working class to exploitation by those that own the means of production and it would eventually devolve into feudalism.

Pure communism would be x=100, y=0. Again, z does not matter. The means of production would be owned by the entire community. The problem with this is that you would either have to force people to work, which requires government involvement, or deny slackers their share of the produced goods and services, which requires a move away from collectivism. This leaves society open to parasitism. The equality of outcome also demotivates people from excelling, leading to shortages in skilled labour. All these factors are forces that would eventually drive a communist society towards fascism.
