American here. I thought you guys used vinegar like we do. What the shit? I mean I like mayo and onions on my fresh fries from a really good pub but the fuck are you doing over there.

Cheese sauce? What the extra shit?
>curry everywhere
Hehehe. Don't feel like tasting it anymore do you?

curry sauce, the chip condiment, is a very different animal from anything else you might associate with the concept of curry. it's savoury, delicious, light brown, often a bit watery and i have no idea what's in it.

i agree with you it's odd that vinegar is not listed, if i walk into any chippy and order a bag they'll ask me how much salt and vinegar i want on it every time.

thats because vinegar isnt a sauce

everyone has vinegar on their chips,
the same reason salt isnt on the list either

>fries in the uk were all limp
Why do you all do this to yourselves? I stayed in the uk 2 weeks and everytime i got fries somewhere they were limp and sometimes even soggy.

Just leave that shit in the fryer a bit longer and turn the heat up a smidge

It is essentially mayonnaise, but I'm also American just living in Europe, slight chance I'm wrong. I think it's pepped up mayo tho.

No, that's just lazy and bad shops. An excuse for making bad "chips". Don't let them get away with it.

Salad cream is seriously thinner and vinegar heavy from what I understand. It's a dressing resembling miracle whip but there's a major difference.

did you go to a dedicated chip shop? cause if you did you got stiffed. can't vouch for the quality of chips or american style fries in any other kind of establishment.
