when does beer start to not taste like shit? i'm 18 so maybe that's why but whenever im at family gatherings and parties there's lots of alcohol. liquor is easy to me to drink but every sip of a beer makes me want to vomit.

Thats not a good start to what I know about beer, as I prefer bitter. That said, I've frequently seen but have not tried strawberry beers. Not the Smirnoff kind of "beer", I'm talking about something more like actual beer, with real strawberries involved. There are a lot of chocolate beers too. You might try Young's Double Chocolate Stout. Or Wells Banana Bread Beer. These aren't really sweet though. Maybe the strawberry ones are more so. I initially came to the thread to suggest Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout, but that is not sweet at all.

just sample a ton of beers, alcohols etc and find what you like. Then using that build an even more extensive library.
If you don't like beer it'll still get tolerable for you as it acts as a buffer before hard liquor, or if you first start with cocktails then go for a pint

Don't force yourself to drink liquor though, you won't be any less of a cool kid because you stick to soft drinks or because you don't smoke mate, also be wary if you have an addictive personality. I can binge for 2 months straight and then stop for a year but some people would have been fucking alcoholics by that point

Try hard cider if there's any local in your area. Redd's is alright, but I haven't had Angry Orchard or Strongbow in a long time so I can't attest for the fancy new varieties.
Otherwise you can always drink low % not-beers, like mike's or twisted tea.

What you pictured is great and I will also second the recommendation on Sam Smith, they make most of my favorite beers and their chocolate stout is outstanding. Funny enough you mentioned strawberry beers, Sam Smith also does a strawberry ale that's extremely good and relatively sweet, so I'd recommend that.

Strongbow is alright, they have a blackberry cider now that's pretty okay. For regular hard apple cider, I like the angry orchard crisp apple well enough. Foxhound's another good cider, their blackberry pear is pretty good.

Ginger beer would be another good alternative to traditional beer, try Crabbie's.
