Which works, since it's just as good as coastie food truck meme burritos and we additionally get the benefit of not being infested with mexicans.

Your dog shouldn't have to suffer just because you have shit taste.

Coasters and flyovers may disagree, but honestly non-American food isn't even on the radar. Once you leave America, it's either unwarranted pretentiousness or eating actual garbage like mud cookies and insects.

I'm not even well-off or a snob and I know this is bullshit. I've eaten good, hearty, stick-to-your ribs food in Paris, Berlin, London, and Sao Paulo.

Only once in my life have I ever suffered through a real "coastie" dish, in Edinburgh -- four fucking scallops served with a dot of black pudding on a square floor tile-looking thing (I was taking my sister and her middle-class husband out to dinner, and they picked the restaurant, unfortunately)

No it isn't. It's literally less. Coaster chow not only tastes worse, but they give you less of it. Which might actually qualify as an act of mercy since it's almost always dreadful to eat.

Imagine going to a diner for a simple burger, fries, and a glass of iced tea. Except when you get there you discover they only have turkey gorgonzola sliders and the only drinks they stock are their shifty microbrew swill and soylent. By the way, that'll be $28

This is the daily reality for the coastie. It almost makes you want to pity them.

My sister-in-law is a professional food critic with a newspaper column. She says she's frequently so hungry after doing reviews of coastie restaurants (and she does literally live in a coastal city) that she stops by a fast-food place to top up afterwards

Why do people act like diarrhea is so bad? Literally no different than any other shit.

>> No.11011636

>>11011624
Honestly, the coastie views restaraunts more as a status perch than a place to eat. What you're paying for is to be seen there and feel sophisticated.

But if you're actually hungry, they're useless. The food itself is almost always underwhelming, and the portion sizes are possibly appropriate for a toddler.

The sad truth is that TGI Fridays shits all over coastie joints when it comes to actually feeding people.

>> No.11011653

>>11011636

I don't know about TGI Fridays in particular (I don't think we have them here in Canada) but anyone automatically looking down on chain restaurants is an obvious idiot. That said, the problem with a lot of those franchise places is that everything is salted to hell and back, because they usually aren't dealing with fresh ingredients

There's a huge middle ground between something like McDonalds and Chez Pretentieux -- my ideal place is a satisfying dish that you haven't had a hundred times before, made with fresh food, cooked with care, in a generous but not a colossal quantity, and reasonably-priced

You need to change your diet if you have never experienced a good poop. You can feel fully cleared after 1 minute of a nice firm shit sliding out and then not have to poop the rest of the day. With my current diet and alcohol consumption I have experienced awful shits and can assure you a good firm shit is one of the cleanest pleasures.
