I've got two duck carcasses and I want to make soup.

Is it enough to just boil them for like 5 hours in some stock and then pick out all the bones?

Add veggies and noodles later.

I say stock because I happen to have like 5 liters of the stuff.

>like 5 hours
Define "like"
You sound as an American does when you phrase questions in this way and thus are the anthesis of exactitude.
Be specific.

You be specific. I have no idea how long to cook at bird so that all the meat falls off the bone. I just pulled that number out of my ass.

Im under the impression that chicken stock takes 3 hours to cook, so maybe duck falls within the same timeline. I am also not a chef.

I'm going to boil it in already made stock

If you want to make soup and you already have stock then all you need to do is simmer until the duck is cooked through, roughly 1 hour though it will depend on the size of the duck. At that point the meat should fall off the bone. 5 hours and you will have mush.

The duck is already cooked and all I have are bones with a little meat on them

You shouldn't try to make a soup with soup bones and premade stock. Make more stock with the bones if there's not really meat.

Not OP but here's a question, does it help for flavor to break the bones so the marrow comes out?
