The best indicator of whether or not something is actually good, provided it's well known, is if there is a demand for it -- are consumers buying it? If French food was so great, why isn't it more common fare in the US? Sure, you can find French restaurants in larger cities, but they sure as hell aren't widespread even among fine dining tier restaurants. You can find Italian or Japanese even in small towns. Mexican, chinese, thai, and indian cuisine is common as hell. So, why is it that French food isn't in demand?

I went to an English style pub and got some wierd beef pudding thing (it was roast beef, onions, and gravy in a pastry) with mashed potatoes and blanched vegetables, as desert I had a bread pudding with run sauce and I downed it all in beer and martinis.

I couldn't shit all day but tomorrow morning I went into an eat n park for breakfast and finally had to shit. The shit I made was the size of my head and semi-viscous like some cement/sludge mixture. It was capped off by some dried hunks, and the stench reminded me of death mixed with beer.
