Its actually not as sweet as you would think. The body of the porter is very dark, and has a savoury bitterness to it. The sweetness from the added ingredients are tasted as a slight note which goes alongside this natural bitterness for a full bodied flavor. Worth noting the ingredients are added during the process and aren't added as artificial flavorings after. The same is done with thick stouts, as in pic related.

Well like I said it was a total one off, they had it at their booth at the California state microbrewers convention on their industry day that had very little general admission attendees on purpose. Lots of established breweries we're flexing nuts and theirs was one of my favorites because it was so uncharacteristic and good.

Pale ales are just damn refreshing. Bitters are pretty based though. If I see one on time I'll almost always go for it because they arent a very well represented style in the states. A local brewery just took their bitter off their tap list because it didnt sell well. Don't know why people ignore them here
