the company that makes vegan oreos also has a meat subsidiary company who benefits from the profits of oreo as well as the by-products of the wheat, which are sold to animal feedlots.

Buying "vegan" foods from large companies actually subsidizes the food of the animals raised under harsh industrial conditions.

The best option you have is finding a local small farm at your local farmers markets. Just as the large companies do, a small farm reaches maximum efficiency when by-products from animals are given to plants, and vice versa. This is why veganism is ultimately just a morally comforting label, as all things are truly connected. A more ethically sustainable small farm will have both plants and animals, both will be happy and healthy and benefit from each other's presence. Instead of eschewing animal products, try focusing on farms that treat animals and plants well. Instead of virtue signalling with a label, just be virtuous and put the effort into actually finding the origins of your food, and making sure they are raised in a poison free environment. Oh, and good sustainable food is expensive, budget for good food because you deserve it.

To be fair, not everyone can find a small farm. Sure the midwest of america is all farmland, but what about people on the coasts? Your closest farm could be a 2 hour long drive and it might not be an actual farm, just a tobacco farm or pot farm or a farm that is just an orange/apple/banana orchard.

I would like to find a farm to buy shit from (not vegan, not vegetarian, nor do I really care about the animals, just don't trust big company shit full of hormones, pesticides, etc), but I live in Bumfuck nowhere Florida. The closest farmland to me would be about 3 hours away.

Bit simplistic. Don't see the point of the cookies, anyone who wouldn't prefer spread on the bread or peaches needs to be shamed and forced to eat proper food for their own good.

6/10, would have been 7/10 without the cookies.

It's more economical to feed food scraps to pigs, but it's not necessary. Composting works perfectly fine.
