It's actually killing the import market here. I've spoken to several guys who are in distribution claiming as much. I used to be able to find Leffe and common German brands at most grocery stores. Now, over the past two years, they've all quietly disappeared to the point where not even most liquor stores carry them. I want my damn Leffe and Köstritzer. And, it's all IPAs now. Yes. They are top-fermented, which is a lot easier to do than bottom-fermented (most home brewers start out with top-fermenting beers, and bottom-fermented is only really suitable for larger quantities), and just buying some nice aroma hops can also mask the quality of the rest of the product

>And, it's all IPAs now. Nothing wrong with a good IPA now and again, but every damn brewery puts them out. It's suffocating.

It ain't any different in America. Problem is everyone and their grandma started pushing the shit out the same way all the vitamin water like drinks pushed out stuff like poweraid and all the sports drinks to the point all these water drinks took up entire shelves at the grocery market.

Same with all the meme fad foods. Usually when I see that shit pushed on the shelves to the point you cant avoid it, it means someone out there wants you to destroy your health. Ask yourself this, what kinda folks do you normally see drinking IPAs? Usually it's the same type drinking Pabst, and I ain't talking about your grandpa either. Next, ask yourself what sets IPAs apart from other beers. It's the amount of hops used. Now drink this one in.

May as well just be drinking fermented soy at that point.

Pretentious is by definition the brewer being an asshole because they think the product is hot shit. I doubt Larry bell gives a flying fuck about what you think about a beer he's been making that long. The pretentious ones are the fags marking it up once they deemed it best beer in the world.

Founders centennial is in every way a better beer.
