They taste better than any patty in existence. Since you're using strawman, let me add one as well. Even McEdgyMeatcuck here agrees. He ate one and instantly lost all the weight, started dating supermodels, and grew his balded hair back within two weeks. It seems Veganism is better. I am a carnist and have eaten only meat for my entire life and my testosterone is that of a 6 year old girl currently. I plan to go vegan as of today because of your comment.

Dear Beyond Burger Shill Team/R&D Intern,

I tried some of my friend's once. The texture was pretty close to real meat and was decently juicy. The crust was the only part that was noticeably fake, plant protein just doesn't brown up the way meat does.
The taste wasn't convincing. It didn't taste bad but it wasn't savory. If you doused it in condiments it would be satisfying for a couple of bites but I wouldn't "enjoy" the taste of it.
I feel like fake meat will win more converts if it doesn't constantly claim to be COMPLETELY INDISTINGUISHABLE FROM REAL MEAT YOU'LL NEVER BELIEVE IT!!! and embraces being an alternative instead of a replica.
I will never buy them myself when the price is so insane. I can get some shitty frozen burgers for about 50-75 cents apiece. I saw this (or a similar brand) at the store recently, 2 tiny slider-sized patties for $7-something. I believe that price is another major hurdle for anyone interested in veg/vegan food who still enjoys convenient/processed options.

Sincerely,
Data collection participant
