Kek. I'm OP and that's literally what happened to me, except with my cousins fucking raiding his house. The one thing I really wanted was their nice backgammon set that I'd played with them since the 80's, but later found out that my cousin's fucking toddlers knocked it over and broke it when they were the same age I was when my grandparents first taught me how to play. The pan isn't much, but it means a lot to me, and it's a solid fucking pan that I'll have in my kitchen until I die.
