I'm making a Chicago deep dish 'za for my uncle as a cake for his 50th birthday, what are some good fillings for it? I never made this kind before, but it seems like it will fall apart as soon as I cut it.

Actually the crust is pretty solid if cooked well unlike NY style which is meant to be floppy and holds together better than fruit pies.

They are easier to make than a traditional pizza or a fruit pie.
