ye I know. I was dumbing it down.

Anyway the only reason CHRISTIANS don't believe in Kosher is because Jesus told his disciples to eat that shit in the NT, and since we've established the NT is the point of division - any foods described in the OT (like Deuteronomy) will be Kosher

Wasn’t he like “nah don’t worry bout that anymore, you’ll be fine now”? I remember reading about that somewhere in one of the NT books but can’t remember which one. Anywho, Jews should really check out the whole Jesus thing. Can’t imagine having those dietary restrictions and such.

Hah 10,000 a month? No, not really. And I see where my money goes, I actually volunteer to help some of the people that my money contributes to. It’s not some scam mega church and the pastors aren’t swimming in cash like that ass Olsteen.

Besides if youre right and I’m wrong about the after life, I’ve lost nothing significant and at least I know I lived a good life.

also there are 6 churches in the DC area alone (that I know about) that charge that per family and have over 10,000 members each.

You can live a good life with or without religion. Just sayin it's a pretty big fuggin money scam. Out of all the religions in the world somehow only yours is correct, lol c'mon lad.

Yeah I’m aware that some places do stuff like that, personally I don’t know what they’re thinking when they agree. I sure as hell wouldn’t attend a church that MADE me pay. I give because I want to give, not cause I have a bill from my church.

And I wasn’t saying my religion was the only right one. I don’t even like calling my belief a religion. I will however say that my God is the only right one.

How does that one video go?

>nah don’t worry bout that anymore, you’ll be fine now
This is essentially correct - the reason there were dietary laws and sin/iniquity/transgression offerings in the OT was because it was a constant battle to retain a certain level of purity. After Jesus came, His death was supposed to be the sacrificial lamb that would be used to purify all of us, so that those rituals weren't necessary anymore.

I guess if you subscribe to a sort of hard behaviorism I might agree. The "guilt is a response to getting caught" of morality

Christians tend to be more obsessed with their behavior in the public sphere compared to avowed atheists, in a sense this is indeed "better"

To me, this just makes them seem suspicious

I only trust apathetic agnostics

The honey mentioned in Deuteronomy 8:8 is actually date syrup, so they're wrong on that.
It's actually pretty disappointing that the bar is based on rice and rice syrup, which has nothing to do with the sever.
It's a shame, because they could actually base the bar on puffed wheat and barley, and use the date honey and malt syrup as sweeteners.

Guilt? Maybe for some, but the whole idea is to be more like Jesus and to follow his commandments. Which are to love others as you love yourself and love God. In my experience, yes there are some who struggle but no where does it say that they won’t. This life here on earth will always be a struggle against the ways we naturally are, but they are supposed ask God and Jesus to help them overcome the challenges and negative traits that they have that don’t align with scripture. A real Christian tries their hardest to improve. It’s not so they can get saved, but -because- they’ve been saved. They already got past the saving part when they accepted Christ. No one is perfect.

In my experience christians are much more likely to commit evil since they believe they have an out by mumbling their magical incantation. Those in the public sphere who wear their christianity on their sleeves and implement policy in direct opposition to christs teachings are a prime example.

This is a sin against the holy spirit, you can't pull a fast one on god.

>Those in the public sphere who wear their christianity on their sleeves and implement policy in direct opposition to christs teachings are a prime example.
I agree that many christians do this, but they definitely should be a shining example for others by living their life in christ. Merely professing belief doesn't mean anything.

I fucking hate smug, and God, whatever that is, made me to hate it. There is nothing in a church for me besides countless opportunities to offend simply by being rational.
