so /ck/, What are some foods that you've hated for a long time, but eventually learn to love? For me it's cucumbers, I really hated them for the longest time, but since I've been on keto diet for a months, I've learned to really like cucumbers for it's light and crisp texture and "fruity" flavour that pairs well with the mostly heavy and fat filled recipes that are keto.

Cucumbers are tasty in a light salad. Try some Benedictine, on the few carbs you can have going keto, it's a fucking tasty cucumber spread.

I love eating cucumbers, mostly on their own. Favourite thing to snack on.

Yeah, cucumbers has a really "melony" flavour, but has next to zero sweetness. I think the disconnect is that in our minds, something so fruity tasting shouldn't be so tasteless in terms of sweetness or sourness.

That's why cucumbers has actually be used as a flavoring for many soft drinks, the one being the most recent one is a Cucumber, lemon-lime sprite.

For me, it was cheese. As a kid I couldn’t eat anything with cheese on it, but now I love it, my favorite being goat cheese.

Olives, sprouts, broccoli.
Used to hate all of them, now love all of them so much.
I could literally just eat a bowl of olives, sprouts and broccoli right now and I'd be satisfied.

yoghurt and creme fraiche. Although I like cheese, things too close to milk used to feel too heavy/full/not subtle in taste and texture to me. Turns out you can make amazing dressings with yoghurt and amazing meat sauce with creme fraiche. Of course, not the reduced fat garbage.
