I grant you, artisanal chip disasters are best arranged with gloved hands, if you must arrange them at all.

I make my own chip disasters from time to time, I like to make a bowl of chilli on rice, with chips, cheese and sour cream on top. Put the chips on one quarter, shredded cheese on another quarter, a dollop of sour cream somewhere in there too and serve. It's maybe not very mexican but it's nice but damn, I just pour the fucking chips in and give the pack a shake to get them out.

Learn to make some then because they literally are. Even the good ones.

However a lot of that fat is in the icing, it will be basically icing sugar mixed with palm oil or something. I'd use butter at home. They call it a pastry but it's more likely to be a quick bread of some sort, basically flour/water/soda with a bit of sugar for sweetness and some random junk for honey flavouring. It's mostly a vehicle for the icing.
