Hello /ck/, Brazilfag here needing some advice.
I have a English school project where me and my group will make a authentic american breakfast. I had the idea to do waffles/pancakes (like those waffle towers with syrup i see in the movies sometimes) with black coffe (in 2 thermos).
Any tips or suggestions for my project? I am a absolute beginner (and so are my team mates), so anything will help.

why do they bother to educate you?

I don't know much about american meals, so i'm also open to suggestions about what meal my group should do

That's a good question. I guess they still have the decency to direct some of the tax money to education here

and look at their menus, they are chains, but they have good pictures of their menus. this will give you an idea of the common breakfast themes.

Check out ihop dot com and dennys dot com for inspiration. A stack of waffles should have syrup on the side, butter on top and a small plate of bacon. Coffee is served with cream and sugar on the side.

Don't overmix your pancake batter. You barely mix it, then quit messing with it. I've been to South America you guys always ruin pancakes.
Also try to get real butter and real maple syrup if you can afford it.

Plenty of resources online for how to perfect the following breakfast foods:

Pancakes
Homemade Pancake Syrup (with no maple)
Over Easy Eggs
Hash Browns

Americans will also have bacon strips or a ham steak on the side. Both are great with a little bit of syrup touching them.

The pancake tower is called a "short stack". If you do this make sure you lightly butter each pancake.

Americans also like "fruit compotes" with "whipped cream". Both can be homemade very easily from local fruit and dairy cream with refined sugar, or even honey.

Hey OP! Most Americans just eat cereal or toast or something for breakfast, but I think waffles or pancakes would be a great idea. It's a very stereotypical "American breakfast." If you don't have a waffle iron (a special cooking instrument used to make waffles), just make pancakes instead. You could also make scrambled eggs or American-style bacon to go along side of it.

Pancakes are a good choice, though very few people eat them everyday. it is easy to find good recipes nline, though one tip I would recommend would be cooking your pancakes in clarified butter, and usong real maple syrup if you can find it where you live.

The coffee is something that is actually done very differently depending on the individual, while most diners serve the typical drip brew style I would personally reccomend preparing it the cowboy styke, in which you let the coffee grounds sit in a lot of boiling water, and then either straining them out of the beverage or adding cold water to settle them to the bottom and then just pouring your cup of cawfee like normal.

be sure to make drop some chocolate chips (or tiny chunks of semi-sweet chocolate) into the batter when you pour each pancake onto the stove. pancakes made with chocolate chips are immaculate

It is the same principle behind the French press, just without the strainer included in the pot. I don't know why you act as though this is so unusual, you mong.

The most iconic American breakfast is steak and eggs. Some hash brown potatoes and toast on the side, black coffee and orange juice.

I make coffee like this when I’m camping. It’s pretty easy. Just boil a big pot of water, dump coffee grinds in it, take it off the heat, then dunk my mug to fill it. Nothing wrong with the taste, and it’s a great way to make 3 liters of coffee all at once.

That is simply untrue, even though I love steak and eggs.

Why? Because bacon and eggs exist? Don’t buy into the big pork propaganda. Steak and eggs is the most American breakfast in existence.

Why? Because I don’t agree with you? Because I think a cowboy breakfast is more American than some suburban breakfast? Or is it because you don’t know the difference between iconic and common? Go be a faggot somewhere else.

Awww did you get your wittle feelings hurt?
A "cowboy" breakfast isn't and has never been typical in the US, except in certain regional locales. And I would know, having been raised on a cattle ranch. We ate plenty of beef, but rarely for breakfast. You're propagating a fucking myth. Dumbass.

Like I said, you don’t know the difference between common and iconic. Also, who the fuck are you trying to impress with your lies on the internet? Letting East Indians into America was a mistake...
