Subway had the worst “Philly” style cheesesteak I’ve ver tried. I’ve never eaten or purchased anything from them since having one. Any one who thinks the Subway subpar version was actually good or even passable, has never had a fucking Philly cheesesteak.

There's something weird about Subways. I'm guessing they have very low franchise fees or overhead or something. They're worse than Starbucks for being just everywhere. My friends I tell you, it was one of the best meals I have had this year. The crisp vegetables mixed with the moist and hot sweet onion chicken teriyaki. The cool soda, the crisp and crunch Sun Chips, totally blown away.

I was able to get a value meal for $5.99 and they even complimented my shirt. They don't let black people touch your food and they also have soup.

Good. Subway isn't worth the prices for the quality of food they offer. It's cheaper and fresher to just buy the ingredients yourself and make ahead sandwiches of your liking for a week or two. Almost any other deli restaurant or good grocery store will offer better subs at only a little higher price if convenience is a factor.

They are the Little Ceasar's of sandwiches, except LC is actually passable when hot and making pizza yourself in a home oven is much more difficult.

Nice? Saute sweet onions. Add equal parts mirin, sake, and soy sauce. Add some slices of fresh ginger, smashed garlic, and dried red chilies, plus some sugar. Yellow rock sugar if you're feeling extra-fancy. Simmer it until it gets thick. Remove ginger, puree.

Adjust the amount of sugar and the chili pepper to your personal preference of course.
