Is there a beer that tastes good? Genuine question.

>> No.10376602

It's an acquired taste. If you force your body to drink the disgusting shit on a daily basis, it'll eventually start to appreciate it as a pure defense mechanism.

Sours and saisons taste good. Cold piss beer is good just because it's refreshing. Starting to get tired of the IPA meme, I really don't enjoy them anymore. Stouts or dark beer can fuck off.

Have a Hoegaarden, you sound like a person who doesn't like even a very slight bitter/hoppiness

It's slightly sweet.
If you don't like it, you don't like beer.

>> No.10376729

not for export
all the good brands are regionally consumed
to small for any kind of export.
making it a huge business ruins the taste, as process needs standardization in raws and taste
either you have a regionally brewery with acceptable product, or your fucked

I still don't enjoy beer, but it is less disgusting than it used to be.

I was in Korea last week, where chimaek (fried chicken and beer) is a very standard pairing. It works pretty well.

It was draft Cass. I gather Cass is the standard Korean beer.

>I gather Cass is the standard Korean beer

Never been to Korea, but based on every Korean restaurant I've ever been to I'd say that's pretty accurate for export. Only other ones I've ever seen are Hite and OB. What's with the tongs and the sugar cube looking things?

Since it's Caturday.
Duvel is pretty decent, a German friend turned me onto that.

Generally I hate beer, but if there were a "style" of beer that I'd say I hate the least it would probably be ale.

While I would never venture to say it tastes good, it does at the very least go down well enough with a meal.

Tongs and sugar cubes? Isn't that for absinthe?

They served a bowl of pickles and these rice-puff things with the beer, before the chicken arrived.

The "food you eat while drinking" culture is a pretty big thing, apparently.

The best way to hit a Korean restaurant is with a hot Korean chick. Let her order the stuff, you get better things too. Same at Brasilian joints, go with a friend or a hot girlfriend who is from the place and you'll get the best stuff.

>> No.10376898

Always let charming ladies do the ordering if it's in their native language.
