What the fuck happened? Is it just me, or does the recipe to this shit change every few years? From 2000-2006, Hot Cheetos were a god-tier chip and would be my go to if I wanted a snack. Then from 2007-09 they had a different taste and bag, and was still good but less spicy and more salty. And whatever happened between 2010-now is just a disaster, they taste like absolute cock now. I can't stand them anymore. Has anyone else noticed this or am I going crazy?

All I remember is that in the early 00s, they were a lot spicier and they would stain your fingers way more than they do know.

There's a 2X that's hotter than the original formula and stains your fingers as it did in the 2000s. Maybe try that.
