TBQH I don't think /ck/ really cares enough about wine for this thread to make it to tomorrow

But sure I'll give it my best shot

I've never heard of Prophecy wine but NZ ruins sauv blanc and California ruins pinot noir. NZ really shouldn't bother with wine at all, California is alright at zinfandel as long as you stick to the coastal ranges, and their cab sauv can be ok if you're willing to spend like $50+ but as a general rule the state is a wasteland and also overpriced

TBQH the only region worthy of your attention for sauv blanc is the loire valley

As far as PN goes, oregon, upstate NY, loire again, bordeaux obviously, and germany make good stuff. Just avoid any new world PN other than oregon and upstate, preferably stick to old world because here in murica they like to ruin it with vanilla extract and overly warm climate and mega purple

Pretty good. Me and the wife drink a lot of the Marlborough region wines. They are excellent Sauvignon Blancs in that region.
