Fast food tastes good because it has a bit (or a lot) more salt, fat, and sugar than home cooked meals. Home cooked meals taste better because they use fresher/better ingredients, and are prepared more carefully. If you overcook your beef patties, and smother them in a fatty/salty sauce, and then wrap it in paper and squish it a bit, it'd probably get closer to that fast-food taste. Don't forget to use the cheapest buns and cheese you can find. Maybe you could microwave the buns a bit (after frying them in butter) to get an extra bit of soggyness.

Honestly it really depends on the fast food. Sometimes you'll see fresher ingredients there just because they go through them on a JIT basis rather than sitting out in the grocery store for a week, or a nominally "healthier" burger because they're still using 1/10 or 1/6 patties instead of the 1/3 beef dreadnoughts that home cooks have settled on.

There are also other health-neutral things that until recently have been difficult for home cooks to do, like McDonald's blanching their fries at a specific low temperature for added crispness. It turns out you can replicate those near-exactly if you have an immersion cooker.
