what a cringe fucking POST. you've successfully failed at trying to be a pretentious faggot by being so painfully wrong. impressive. let's break it down

>1. there is nothing wrong with requesting affordable liquor options. cheap != shit
self-explanatory, not everyone wants to spend $50+ on every fifth they purchase. there is a range in quality at all price points.
>2. whisky/whiskey is spelled with or without an E depending on where it is from
for example, irish whiskey is spelled with an E, scotch whisky is spelled without.
>3. jack daniel's is not a bourbon
it is a tennessee whiskey filtered through maple charcoal
>4. ardbeg 10
entry-level islay peat, inappropriate for someone asking questions like OP, and not nearly the best option on the lower end of even the distillery's price range. try some of their uigeadail and see what you've been missing.

congratulations, you've tried a 10 year-aged scotch and now think you know all there is to about whisky. let me know how your 22nd birthday goes.

It's a good single malt; it'll never blow anyone's mind in terms of complexity and depth, but it has been of consistent quality for decades. Fruity, light and mellow, taste of vanilla, pears and a touch of wood in the 12yo. The 15yo is also a good value, a bit sweeter, somewhat less bitter, although for my taste it sacrifices a bit of its pleasant bite and goes for a lighter style. If available in your area though, the 'Rich Oak' version (14yo) is also a pretty good deal.

For being a sub-40$ blend, it actually gives a fair amount of single malts a run for their money.

I think tariffs have to do with the high prices of whiskey in Canada. Beer and other types of liquor have similar prices whether they are imported or not, but imported whiskeys are 10 or 20 bucks more than Canadian ones of similar quality. I'm guessing the whisky industry here has a really big interest in people buying domestic.

This is my favorite cheap blend. And as an added bonus it's the cheapest one available nearby.

Ezra Brooks is probably the cheapest I buy, and it's a mixer only that tastes quite a bit like JD.
My next up is either four roses or Buffalo trace, I always have a bottle on hand.
What I drink 3-4 times a week, usually with a cigar and after dinner, is Blanton's. It's not affordable however.

Affordable is less than $10 for a pint imo.

I mostly just go back and forth between pic related and Evan Williams and mix it with ginger ale.
