Assuming we follow the recipe to order, yes. A standard order of nachos will have our chips coated in melted mozzarella and cheddar cheese and topped in our in-house chili, guacamole, sour cream, diced onions, and tomatoes with picked jalapenos and salsa off to the side and everything garnished with cilantro. It's quite a pile of food.

Assuming we DON'T follow the recipe and do a rush job like we always do, it'll have all of the things listed above but like, 2x more chips which makes it even funnier to look at.

There are no white people in California. It's nothing but mexicans and mistakes.
But for Red Robins, it's been having its recipes redone to match popular opinion.

We don't have nacho cheese, but our chili uses tons of our ground beef so you still kinda get that. The nachos are legitimately amazing, but I doubt I could finish even half a serving alone.

What qualities are you looking for when hiring an employee?

I try to be reserved and polite during my public functions, which some managers interpret as timidness. I have been declined employment opportunities from nearly forty fast food locations. McDonalds and Subway would rather give a teenager stumbling over their words a job than a man in his 20's. It's discouraging. I have also been accused on rare occasions more recently for loitering while waiting on my order and told I have to buy something or get out because this is not the lottery. I just want to work.

As a bit of background, my university's food services is consistently ranked high in the nation, so it does its best to uphold that reputation. The biggest factor is not because they contract out to Sodexo or Aramark, but because it's kept in-house with voluntary contracts for meal plans for everyone (including on-campus freshmen). With no outside money coming in, the budget is set up to be self-sufficient based off its own merits of voluntary meal plan purchases.
Student employees do a lot of the work, but there are also student managers, full-timers (adults), and regular managers (also adults) that work together. I did a variety at tasks including taking orders, refilling food pans, preparing/cooking food, prep work, dish room duty, resetting the dining area, and closing depending on the schedule or immediate need. While I could man the deli station or switch out pans by myself, there were certain stations such as the stir fry, bake shop, and dish room that would always have a full-timer to supervise that spot. The main kitchen itself had full-timers with an exception of one or two experienced student employees who assisted them. Everyone who works a shift gets a free meal (while those on meal plan get reimbursed), so there's an interest in not cutting corners in the break meal. For closing however, there would be that pan once in a while that made it through the cleaning process and retained a couple of food specks that weren't vigorously scrubbed out because the student employee assigned on dish room duty wanted to leave as close to clock-out time as possible. If I (or any other reasonable employee) picked out a pan that wasn't fully clean, it's a simple matter of chucking that dirty one in the dishwasher and picking up a clean one instead.
Food scores at the dining halls and retail locations were consistently graded 'A', but there was a rogue dining hall that got graded a 'C' a few years back that got executive management worked up about it.

I am very hygienic and well groomed. I have no vehicle but I'm driven by my motivation. 90 lbs wet. I can talk the ear off an elderly grandmother. Do I need to make cheesy jokes like the rest of them to get along? They're often in bad taste and the kind of falsity exuded by customer service specialists always seemed disingenuous.

Me again, BTW, yes, I know about the website. The locations that I've mentioned are still shown on it even though they've been closed for at least a year now.

Taiwanese businesses absolutely SUCK about updating their websites and responding to emails. They think that just putting a shitty 1990s designed page up is more than enough.

bakes bread, they start at 11 pm typically. when i used to prep, i would start between 5:30 or 6am and they would almost be finished. you put bread in a rack and let it sit in a cooled fridge for the morning baker to bake them

Usually we know when we have events nearby that would entail a large crowd, so we're well staffed when we need to be. We look at last years sales on the same day and use that as a guideline for how busy we're supposed to be that day, surprisingly it matches for the most part. Occasionally we do get busy with only a handful of us working and we just do our best to push orders out one at a time, not much else you can do. And most people usually stay for two years, but those who stay end up moving pretty quickly into management

CU Boulder has, by far, the best dining hall I've ever seen (its called the C4C, "center for community" or something). Actual trained chefs, about ten different types of cuisine on any given night, and real, non-deep-fried food. They serve sushi, authentic Mexican, traditional American (think yams, beans, and pork dishes), and then several wild cards like Vietnamese and Indian, depending on the night. I transferred to a school closer to my work after my first year there, but damn if I don't miss it.

I visited my sister at University of Vermont recently, and most of the on-campus students just keep their contraband hotplates in their rooms to avoid having to eat in the dining halls. Sad, because it's about $10,000/semester, you would think the food would be decent

I run a cafe, so not quite the same as a restaurant because most of are sales are drinks. Anyway, labor is typically between 12 and 18%, if it goes above 20 I start worrying. However, our staff is paid minimum wage ($9) and most of their income is from tips (most six-hour shifts result in about $200 in tips)

There's multiple Zaxby's locations in my town, but I got lucky last year when they opened a new location a mile away from my place. I've practically become a regular there getting food for myself or family. The qt 3.14 working there since opening who recently became an assistant manager is another positive.

In my experience, with any place that serves fried food, a lot depends on how well they maintain the equipment. If they're regularly cleaning and changing out the frying oil and keeping the place clean, the food'll taste better. Even something as standard as KFC, you can tell the food generally tastes better at a newly opened kfc because they're still actively giving a shit about keeping the place running.

I should have clarified my question better. Besides the standard grill station, any modifications to the menu on game days? For example with my university, people can still go to the grill for made-to-order dishes but the main line will always have those hamburgers, hot dogs, and toppings on those specific Saturdays.
I specified no weekend work since I had season tickets and traveled home often, but those can sometimes be easy shifts to take on.

>> No.9580298

Not for gameday specifically. But as a consequence of gamedays falling on the weekend, we do an almost all day breakfast/brunch menu from open (1030) til 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday where we serve generic breakfast foods (biscuits n gravy, eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, etc.)
