If you're talking about beans like Bush's baked beans then my only issue with them is that they have a lot of sugar. If you're eating a variety without much sugar or eating homemade baked beans then it's okay. Still wouldn't say it's trashy to eat canned baked beans as a meal, just not healthy if they're the sugary kind.

baked beans are full of sugar, and thus trashy food.
make your own beans. add tomato paste, spices, and if you want sweetness, add aspartame, not sugar.
