Course grind in a mini food processor (or whatever you have). 2c grounds, 8c water. I let it steep for 14 hours on the counter with a loose lid on top with four cinnamon sticks and about ten cloves stirred in.

Filtered through standard coffee filters into two quart containers and what you see in the glass.

When I pour I usually do the amount in the glass plus water to the top (this is a concentrate). Of course you can change this depending on your tastes and how strong you want it!

I brew my coffee really strong at about 3-4x the coffee to water ratio as the average person. Add a pinch of salt to the grounds, with enough half & half to turn it a caramel color. When other people serve coffee, I drink it black since it's so mild. In general, people seem to make better coffee than they did 10-15 years ago, which is nice.
