I have been putting half a teaspoon of baking soda per liter of coffee brewed for quite some time.
Few minutes ago I took a sip from the pitcher into which I forgot to add the soda and it was so sour and disgusting

Am I a little bitch or is baking soda a MUST for good coffee?

I've heard of a tiny bit of salt being put into coffee to make it less bitter but never baking soda.

You're a little bitch

Coffee is delicious on its own

Replace water with milk if you want it less bitter. And/or pour in a lot of sugar

sugar doesn't make it less bitter, just more sweet, in fact i think it accentuates the bitterness sugar is the only thing you add

It's *a* salt, but not what most people would refer to as salt.

I feel like the sweetness overpowers the bitterness
