there's surprisingly a lot of pizza places which make pizzas like dominos but at far more reasonable prices to steal their customers, and it works because who the fuck is going to pay almost £20 for a pizza
finding these places isn't as easy as just googling dominos though, papa johns doesn't really hit that dominos spot if you want a chain pizza and although pizza places actually run by italians are good, they don't make pizza in dominos style and there's barely any italians in the whole of the uk
just have a look, go on just eat, see who has good reviews and is a place that just makes pizza (as opposed to also being a kebab, chippy & halal chicken shop)

I used to order a cheese and tomato pizza every time I went into my nearest pizza place, and they kept giving it to me with sliced tomatoes on top, which I just picked off.

I didn't realise that you didn't have to specify that you wanted a tomato based sauce on your pizza (hence the 'and tomato'), and they thought that I was asking for sliced tomato on my pizza.

It was only when I complained to my mate about it, and he told me that what I really wanted was a 'cheese pizza'.

They should make this clearer on their menus.
