I get down with craft beers/spirts and wines and all that but sometimes you just want some cold ass malt liquor and tacos.

OE and King Cobra are probably my first choices. Followed by colt and mickeys. Don't see a lot of colt around me though. 211 is alright but only really see it in the shatter proof bottles which kinda sucks.

I used to drink a lot of steel reserve because it got me fucked up fast, but eventually the motor oil taste of it got to me and the special ones are too sweet 4 me.

Also I find Steel and St.Ides to be pretty evenly matched, I just go for whichever is cheaper at whatever store.

Just drank a half bottle of Jack Daniels. I know nothing of size, I just know it's the 23 dollar bottle that comes with the drinking glasses.

That's the embarassing part. I consider myself a casual drinker who can definitely handle his liquor, but I never cared to learn the sizes.

I know there are pints and half pints, but I have no frame of reference for how much volume that is. What's next in size, a quart?

It tastes like cheap shit beer...usually pretty bitter like most cheap shit beer. The main difference is just that it contains more alcohol than your usual cheap beer and that's it as far as I know, which in turn actually makes it easier to drink since you get buzzed faster and thus stop caring about the shitty taste quicker....

Example, most regular cheap beer is like what, 4 percent? Most malt liquor is like 6, and "high gravity" stuff like Steel and Ides is around 8 percent...so you basically get drunk twice as fast per same amount of alcohol

I used to drink malt all of the time in my early 20s but over the past few years I've been drinking strong craft beers. E40 is actually really good but now that the hype of the release has died down there is just one liqour store in a shady part of town I know of that sells the 40s. It's 10% abv and tastes better than all the other malts but it's $5.50 for one bottle. It's twice as strong as mickys, cheaper than 2 40s of mickys, and better tasting than mickys so I think it's worth it when I want a 40. I've been mostly drinking 4loko gold and vodka mixed with poweraid recently though.

"Malt liqour" is a style of strong American adjunct lager. Barley wine is an ale and tastes nothing like it.

I used to buy four 40's from a shop in chinatown and smuggle them into my dorm freshman year. Always got Old E, and would share with my friends and watch movies. Then I turned 21 and started to buy other shit, but sometimes will pick one up for old time's sake.

I feel a huge difference when I drink a six pack of "good" craft beer, the buzz is cleaner and better. It's like the difference between shitty mexican brick weed and good top shelf dispensary weed...the effects are different on the body.
