There actually are strong correlations between diet and political ideology. Conservatives tend to eat much less fruit. My dad and fat third wife's house often contains literally no fruit. Mostly just bachelor food because they're boomers.

More than ever, people are actually trying to stay fit, and eat healthy. But old habits die hard, and people still crave the bullshit. Honestly, nobody should eat pizza because it's largely garbage that you don't need to be putting into your body...but if you're gonna eat shitty, at least eat healthy-shitty...that's the mindset. So you're largely eating bread, which isn't healthy for you. But at least there's some healthy shit on top of it.
