The worst part is that this is something close to a very good technique but she goes about it all wrong. She uses horrible ingredients and can't even cut an onion properly.

Honestly looks like canned spaghetti with some basil thrown in.

She starts with pre-canned sauce?? She literally says it's tomato sauce like 5 times. Isn't the sauce already made for you?

Not really. It's kinda retarded that they call it "sauce" but what it means is just canned pureed tomatoes basically. No spices, just tomatoes and salt. Not really like marinara.

Actually if you do it properly it is a thing, a real italian thing and works very well. When basil is infused to oil it loses the bitterness and becomes very smooth.
> take much less oil than marie
> take much more basil than marie
> add some whole, smashed garlic cloves (no need to peel)
> add some chili if you feel like it
> be very careful that the oil temperature is low enough that the garlics start to turn golden in 15-20 mins and that the basil rather wilts, than fries.
> combine with a proper tomato sauce in the end.
Actually really fucking good

>> No.7227710

>>7222857
>peels tomatoes with a knife instead of quickly blanching
>doesn't mince his garlic
>doesn't use oregano
>puts butter in sauce that is already heavy with olive oil
>cooks parmesan into the sauce
>bland as fuck
This is mediocre by the average joes standards this man doesn't deserve his job.
