Is ranch on pizza a cardinal sin? Also, what is your go to pizza? Lets not rehash NY vs Chicago ITT.

OPs go to pizza: Pepperoni and salami, olives, green pepper, mushroom, onion.
Ranch yes/no?: Lightly. If it's hot as balls yes, to avoid pizza burn, or when it has been reheated.

>> No.6993224

Not really. Very rarely I'll be in the mood for it.

>> No.6993255

I never put ranch on fresh pizza, but if I have to microwave it I'll put one piece on top of another with ranch in between.

Fucking americans slathering ranch on everything
Of course, because all you can get is shit dominoes-tier pizza

>> No.6994547

Not OP, but what if the ranch already comes on the pizza? I'm talking about places that serve buffalo chicken pizzas. I've been to restaurants that use blue cheese, while other use ranch.

But yeah, I would never willingly add ranch on a pizza if it's not already on it.

One place I used to get buffalo chicken pizza from used to use good blue cheese in big hunks that melted pretty nicely that made it amazing. But then they stopped doing that may have taken the blue cheese out altogether so I stopped eating there.

I don't eat it directly on the pizza, but I like having a salad with ranch on the side and alternating bites. It's a nice flavor combo.

BURN

If I have a salad with my pizza and the place does a good house ranch (assuming delivery/dine-in/etc) I'll dip my crusts in it, if the place does good hand-tossed they're basically bread sticks anyway.
Kinda why I love Domino's these days, I know the garlic-y crust is just some butter spray shit but its like cocaine to me.
No I don't order their salads I just ask for ranch without giving a reason so I can dip in it

My go to is a garlic alfredo sauce pizza with mushrooms, olives and either chicken or sausage depending on the place. Some places sausage has too much fennel for my liking, but otherwise it's bretty gud. Go to chain is either Papa Murphy's or Domino's. If i have spare dosh, I'll invite a couple friends over and go to an arab-owned pizza place. No skimping on toppings and you can get 2-foot wide pizzas. Perfect for when you don't feel like being an Amerilard alone.

Any strong-tasting sauce (ranch, ketchup, whatever) can neutralize the taste of any pizza.

People, who are used to crappy pizza will always use the sauce, as it will make crappy pizza taste like okay sauce.

People used to excellent pizza will avoid it, as it will make the excellent pizza taste like okay sauce.

If you're eating a defrosted store-bought crap, it's indispensable. If you're eating a superior pizza made at a good, non-chain pizzeria, you can use the sauce to dip the crust, but dammit, don't put it on the toppings!

Yuck. I realize people do it everywhere but why do I feel like it's a big west coast/California thing? Those are the same fuckers who think avocados go in a calzone. Animals.

>go to pizza
Spinach, tomato, and ricotta. God smiles on this combination.

I've also introduced a lot of people that is the glory of italian sausage and banana peppers on a pie.
