You may choose to keep one of these - only one.

Which?

Probably the mustard. Everything else is so easy to replicate at home.

the hot mustard because it's not weebshit or a huy fong memefood

Uhm, you know that S&B is a Japanese brand, right?

Probably the sambal oelek. It's versatile.

That bag of mayo

Not keen on any of those.
If I have to keep one, it's gonna be the mustard.

The mustard. I can make mayo myself, i can make curry myself, Sriracha is overrated and easy to find and those rice crackers suck if i ate the same as those. And those will probably suck even if they're different.

Same here, sambal oelek can be used basically anywhere

Probably the curry roux. The choice would have been harder if you replaced the sambal oelek with doubanjiang.

add it to anything like you would chili or red pepper flakes

I have used it in everything from general tso's to guacamole or puttanesca. It doesn't have any weird sweet/garlicy/vinagar flavor like some sauces. It's just ground up red chili flavor.

That's a fucking lie and you know it. Huy Fong's Sambal is sour as fuck from the vinegar.

>> No.6843762

>>6843751
It's not sour as fuck. There is more salt in it than there is vinegar. It's just a preservative and not a dominant flavor like it is in tobasco or something.

>> No.6843765

>>6843762
Are we eating the same brand of sambal? The kind in OP's pic? There's a very sour taste to it.

>> No.6843779

>>6843765
Yes the same kind. I just went and had a spoonful. Very little sour flavor. Has yours started to ferment? There is a little bit of vinegar taste, but it's never something I noticed when I've added it to something.

You probably just have a better palate than me, but I would never in my wildest dreams describe it as sour as fuck
