Those pics for rare and medium rare are inaccurate and disgusting. A steak can be cooked all the way through and still pink. The outsides of those steaks are overdone while the insides will still be gelatinous.

Reminder that you should cook your meat to atleast
65 C / 150 F for pork, (medium,Medium well or well done, any less though = potential parasites)
63 C / 145 F for beef/lamb (Medium well or Well done)
73 C / 165 F obviously for chicken, well done ONLY with no exceptions.

Medium rare, but in the U.S., unless you're at a nice steakhouse, medium rare tends to be served medium, so I have to say rare when I really want medium rare.
