When I get Starbucks I like their iced coffee with nonfat milk. You have to ask for non sweetened or else it's way too sweet. Sometimes I add a raw sugar packet. If I get a treat I like the Java Chip, coffee, or caramel light frappuccinos.

My picks are soy chai lattes, both hot (no water) and iced, light ice. Otherwise it's a mango/peach green tea lemonade or a quad iced venti mocha, extremely light ice.

The coffee would be better because Pike and Veranda are shit, so you'd have to get lucky on whatever dark roast is currently on and hope it's fresh and hot. You could ask for a specific blend pour over or french press though, like Yukon, Ethiopia, House, Komodo Dragon, or Gold Coast. The issue here is that because Starbucks is more McDonalds in the business approach than a local place, you'd have to ask for this when it's slow so they can do it right. Too bad the pour over setup is plastic junk that pours right into the cup, so you're not gonna get the best extraction.

Starbucks rightly gets a lot of shit for their coffee because their main brew is Pike, which is always brewed constantly in all stores, and is easily their worst medium worst.

Doubleshot has more espresso than a macchiato. There's only two shots in the Grande/Venti (medium/large for our flyover friends) Caramel Macchiato, and only one shot in the small. Doubleshot goes 2/3/5.

Also, a macchiato/latte has way more milk. The doubleshot just has a splash floated on top for color. A caramel macchiato is closer to the "traditional" latte macchiato, whereas the doubleshot is closer to an espresso macchiato.
