What is this supposed to mean? Are you saying there are high energy alpha and beta particles within the beef, or that the beef itself is radiating high energy particles? How would exposing the meat to heat even solve that? You think the idea of sauces with grilled meat is American? It's been around at least as long as the Romans. And sides have probably been around longer.

BBQ sauce itself can be called an American invention but not the concept of grilled meat with sauces and sides. And BBQ sauce isn't a necessity for BBQ and in most cases ruins the meal because of it's sweetness.

tl;dr: Macao was a portuguese colony, there's a few number of portuguese dishes in Macanese cooking; and pasteis de nata have been widely appropriated in the Guangdong and HK area.
It has then migrated to other parts of China, it's a staple at KFC in China, and one of my favorite with a buttery flake pastry and caramelized top.
In HK and Southern China you often find them with a shortbread crust and non caramelized, but YMMV.

Actually first discovered them in Macau along with Chinese jerky and both were amazing.
Really hard finding either of them where I live (Australia) and I doubt many people have even heard of the food before
