Teriyaki and mayo need not apply.

Objectively incorrect. The spiciness of sriracha is second to that of brown mustard and the texture is smooth so that unless the food is inherently absorbent it falls right off

Try again.

Got some habenero sauce from lidl the other day. Tastes like a generic vinegar based hot sauce but fuck me is it powerful. Why aren't there hot sauces without vinegar though? I fucking hate vinegar

Hmm, have you considered making your own sauce?

Just a few Habanero's, some oil, butter, salt, honey or pineapple juice and bam.

Great hotsauce.

I think.

Who knows.

I try out a lot of mustards. I found a brand called Mister Mustard. Shit is great. It's whole grain mustard and has a great punch and heat to it while not being too hot. Great "general purpose" mustard.

Kosciusko and Maille mustard is great too. So is Grey Poupon.

Sriracha is a hot sauce with a lot of flavor but not a whole lot of heat. I like Tapatio for the same reason, it's very flavorful but not too hot, while hotter/as hot as other sauces in its price range like Tabasco.

For super hot sauces I like Melinda's Habanero sauce.

Iowafag here. Fuck. Yes. One of the best spicy stoneground mustards out there.

I introduced my coworkers here in Connecticut to it one day; they promptly ran off and returned with a length of kielbasa and a loaf of rye, and we had a little sandwich party for lunch. I'd never seen anything like it.

They order it online in bulk now. And this is CT, which already has a lot of Polish mustards.

i hope you are being ironic.

That stuff is the most pedestrian so called BBQ sauce I have ever tasted. It is just a really sweet ketchup with the weakest tang ever. suitable for chicken and maybe beef. Definitely not suited for pork. since pork already has a sweet taste to it. if you had to put it on pork. better hope you have a good rub with a lot of heat and savory flavors. Then smoke that pork for a long time.

I'm not them, but sucrose and high fructose corn syrup, are distinctly different.

The HFCS typically used in food is 55% fructose, and ~42% glucose. The main sugar in... sugar, is a disaccharide, sucrose, which is one fructose and glucose molecule. ie, 50/50 give or take, there is a degree of free glucose and whatnot present in sugar cane.

Fructose is processed by the liver, as far as we know, solely. It doesn't require insulin until later, and it doesn't trip most of the body's natural hunger control mechanisms. It also likes to become lactic acid and LDL, then get shoved into adipose.

If you don't know much about fructose metabolism, start here. It defines most of the background needed to contextualize anything else in the paper. Though take some of their own commentary that isn't strictly relaying the results and hard data, with a grain of salt. Like almost any field these days, there are conflicts of interest.
