Does KFC even use buckets anymore? Went on an outting with 4 other people. No one felt like cooking, so we stopped at KFC and got a 21 piece "bucket" and "fixings". It came in boxes and bags. To their credit they gave us plates and sporks. Still like kfc the best. I oven bake thighs at home. The "secret" of the 11 herbs bs is brine 30 in salt water and add nutmeg and ground sage to the breading/dredging ingredients.

it literally tastes just like chicken IMO. only ever had deep fried gator bites but it was like chewy/gummy popcorn chicken, I felt it was greasy but that was probably just because it was deep fried. I really liked it, and would love to try it prepared in other ways.

true. I'm from the south US. If you enjoy shit eating bottom feeding fish like tilapia, carp or catfish, you'l probably love gator. Of course, farm raised catfish is different. I'ts fed cheap dry dog chow so it tastes like mush.
