Is it safe eat frozen chicken that would be carried in a freezer bag and then put in a plastic tesco bag on a two hour journey and then put in a fridge so it defrosts when I get to my destination?

I would prefer not to have to go to the shops to buy more chicken but if there's a chance that I end up getting food poisoning I would just buy another pack.
