Hello /ck/. I will be posting about 10 or so dishes I will be making over the next few hours in this thread. I'm making them for myself to consume. Please tell me what you think, always looking to improve my cooking skills (which are pretty much non existent.)

My first dish is pic related, and what I'm eating now. It's some seasoned lime chicken with brown rice, asparagus, fresh thyme and cilantro leaves.

My next dishes will be way smaller portions, as this was basically my dinner.

Here is a preview of the next three dishes I am making, that will be posted in probably about an hour from now.

>NY strip steak slices on top of a sugar based raspberry red wine butter sauce w/ scallions
>Cubed NY strip steak, garnished with NY strip steak sticks and thyme
>Home made vegetable lasagna tube sticks and NY strip steak sticks

consecutive doubles.

So should I mix the thyme in w/ the rice or something instead of sprinkling it on the plate? The flavor of this was actually pretty amazing, was not expecting it to taste as good as it did.

good god lads, I overcooked the steak, was going for a medium; but it went well done on the first try. Never the less, the next 3 are in coming.

strips are basically what potatoe sticks are, mad thin, however I failed miserably with them due 2 the overdoneness and my shitty knife skills. posting soon, plating the 3rd dish out of the next three now, then posting pics

damn I let myself down on this one. These are terrible looking. Tasted good though. So sad came out well done, did the finger check and felt rare-medium but was well done after resting.

#3

I tried to put a metal straw into lasagna and put my finger over it then blow out the contentents to make lasagna straws, but it didn't work, so I just put some lasagna on it instead. LOL @ me

my oven has like a vent for heat to get out of the top of it, so I put my plate on top of that usually to keep the plate warm, guess it got to hot and just continued cooking it

>>6513238
I didn't cook the steak in oven, all in the fry pan, just turned the oven on for the vent since no heat lamp

lasagna straws? what have you been taking, my boy?

Thought it would be pretty neat looking, three little medium, crispy, steak strips and three tubes of vegetable lasagna. I Thought seeing the layers of the lasagna in a nice strippy tube thing would look pro.

Tasted real good either way.

duno , guess i'm crzy.
