The original old school frozen mini-egg rolls were great with a bit some sour cream on the side, but apparently they aren't made anymore, (AFAIK) as all the kids nowadays have to have pizza this and pizza that all the time....

I've never seen these. Now I'm sad and hungry.

They are okay but the Walgreen's version is where it's at. Half the price and not as greasy.

Those were the best. A pox on whoever decided to discontinue them.

They're the ancestors of today's pizza rolls.

I haven't been able to find them anywhere but I remember chowing down on them during the late 1970s while "Charlie's Angles" and "The Six Million Dollar Man". Even my parents would have a few, which is surprising as they were old Polacks and tended to avoid processed food.

Was La Choy better back then? I've only tried their soy sauce and their canned stir fry veggies and both are pretty shitty.

They're the kind of thing that if you know how greasy they are, look at the package, and they still look good to you, they will be great. They're great for when you've got pleb buds over to watch sports or play vidya, cuz they take 20 seconds of kitchen time. Especially good with pleb beer.

If you're into truffle oil-basted salmon dicks on squid-ink pasta, then you'd still like them, but you'd have to sneer and cough it out for appearances sake.

They probably didn't use corn syrup back then but otherwise, I'd guess it was the same.

But then my mom never cooked Chinese food, we got ours take-out from Hung Way Lo's around the corner.

Today that would buy you a few rounds of cancer treatment and maybe a couple bypass operations and a spare kidney.
